Allan L. Mysel, 74, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Carol Kohlreiter Mysel passed away Friday, May 3, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 6, 2013 in the K.K. Beth Elohim Temple, 90 Hasell Street at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Mr. Mysel was born November 10, 1938 in Haverhill, Massachusetts, son of Philip Mysel and Jennie Jacobovitz Mysel. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and his MBA Degree at Rutgers, the State University. Mr. Mysel retired from Merck and Co. as Executive Director of Procurement Reengineering one month shy of his thirty-three year anniversary with the company. He was a Board Member of Jewish Healing and Hospice Center of Los Angeles, Board Member of Charleston Academy of Music, and worked as a member of Charleston Justice Ministry. Mr. Mysel was a member of K. K. Beth Elohim.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; two children: Jon Mysel and Cathy Yamashita; three grandchildren; and one sister, Roberta Speranzo. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Mysel.
