Alison Lynn Cox

Alison Lynn Cox, 59, of North Charleston, SC, wife to Scott Alan Albrecht entered into eternal rest on December 3, 2022. Services will be held in the Chapel at Stuhrs Funeral Home in West Ashley, SC on December 11, 2022 at 2pm. The family will receive friends at 1pm before the service. 

Alison Cox was born on November 11, 1963 in Lancaster, SC, daughter to the late Crawford and Johnie Lynn. She attended Lancaster High School. Alison is survived by her husband Scott Albrecht, her children, Brandon Cox and Nicole Cox, her sisters, Karen Outen (Ricky) and Leslie Cross (Gregg), cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, children that she took in as her own, and grandchildren. Alison is preceded in death by both of her parents, her ex husband and father of her children, John D Cox III. 

Alison was most passionate about her children and the beach. Springmaid in Myrtle Beach, SC was her favorite place to go to spend time with her friends and family. She adored being a Gigi to her grandchildren that she took in as her own. She spent a lot of her life working in the trucking industry. She had the best mentor to teach her all the ropes in this line of work, her Uncle Ned Blackmon(Ruth). She then moved over to working at MUSC for 11 years. 

Alison passed away peacefully at home from Small Cell Lung Cancer surrounded by love from her family. She will be very missed by all. Donations can be made to Hollings Cancer Center in her honor.
