Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 2, 2010, Alice Carter Poplin, widow of Clyde B. Poplin. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Alice was born on November 22, 1926, in Salisbury, NC, the daughter of Thomas L. Carter and Sarah Rigsby Carter. She was a Past President of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Charleston Does, Past President of Rotary Ann's and a Volunteer with the Medical University of South Carolina.
She is survived by her son, Clyde Michael Poplin of Charleston, SC; sister: Frances Fraley of Monroe, NC; and sister-in-law: Mary Carter of Concord, NC. She is predeceased by her son, Anthony Poplin.
