Alice Elizabeth Richardson Cronin

Alice Elizabeth Richardson Cronin, was called home to the Lord on October 5, 2014 while under the care of Hospice.

Alice was the youngest of nine children. Her parents were Julia Catherine O'Leary and Maurice Leslie Richardson, Sr. of Meridian, MS. Alice was born November 13, 1926 in Tampa, FL and graduated from Sacred Heart School in Atlanta, GA.

She was the wife of James Jeremiah Cronin, Jr. and the grandmother of Bryan Murray Stroman, who preceded her in death.

Surviving children are: Mary Alice Ramsey (Robert J.), Marion NC, Catherine Morris of Charleston, SC, Anne Tyler and James J. Cronin, III (Darlene) of Summerville, SC; grandchildren whom she loved and they loved her are Leysa M. Stroman, Charleston, SC, Jennifer Morris Snow (Bryon) Johns Island, SC, Jason H. Smith (Ngoc Dzung) of Dublin, Ireland, Gabrielle VanCopeland, Charleston, SC and Patrick Morris of Summerville, SC. She was loved and will be missed by nine great-grandchildren.

Alice resided 54 years in Hanahan, SC before moving in 2013 to Rose Hill Retirement Home in Marion, NC. She will come home to Charleston for Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell at Carolina Memorial Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1106 Fort Drive, in Hanahan, SC where she was a member, on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J.
