Alfred Edward Lott, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Eva Mae Haley Lott entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 29, 2015. His Graveside Service will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Alfred was born October 28, 1928 in Willacoochee, Georgia, son of Jesse Lott and Sarah Lizzie Lott. He was a graduate of the High School of Charleston and attended the University of South Carolina. He was a retired asphalt paving superintendent. He was an avid outdoorsman all of his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Jane Lott Scutt (Donn) of James Island, SC; two sons, Brian C. Lott of Summerville, SC and Michael Hughes Lott, M.D. of New York City, NY; and two grandchildren, Haley and Kendall Smith. He was predeceased by his son, Harry Edward Lott; and two brothers, Jesse and Arthur Lott.
