Alex John Gleim, 32, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Elizabeth Ann Thinnes Gleim passed away Monday, March 18, 2019. Private internment will be held at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116 Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of his life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, 25050 Sperry Dr, Westlake, OH 44145 from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Alex was born March 15, 1987 in Neptune, New Jersey, son of Paul Steven Gleim and Janet Dawn Maxson Gleim. He graduated with a bachelors degree from East Carolina University and worked in logistics in the shipping industry. He loved Frisbee golf, playing his guitar, riding his bike, and listening to music. Alex was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother with many friends who will all deeply miss him.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gleim and their daughter, Olivia, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his father, Paul Gleim (Bethany) of Douglasville, GA; his mother, Janet Gleim of Brick, NJ; three brothers, Steven Gleim of Charleston, SC, Jonathan Mularski (Nicole) of Greenville, SC and Joshua Mularski of Charleston, SC; his mother-in-law, Aileen FitzGerald of Rocky River, OH. He was preceded in death by a brother, Justin Mularski and father-in-law, Michael C. Thinnes.
