Alene Guyton Williams, 89, of Mt Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Donald Eugene Williams, Sr. entered into eternal rest Friday, June 16, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until service time.

Alene was born October 2, 1933, in Conway, South Carolina, daughter of the late Archie Guyton and the late Ida McCracken Jones. Alene had several jobs in the lowcountry, working as a customer service representative and working for East Cooper Medical Center in administrative insurance filing. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress, and made dresses for both her daughter, Becky, and herself. She was also a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. Alene will be remembered for the way she loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Donnie Eugene Williams (Debra) of Stuart, FL, Rebecca "Becky" W. Hayward (Vic) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Michael Williams (Catherine) of Marietta, GA; brother, Jesse Guyton (Dale) of James Island, SC; five grandchildren, James Williams of KS, Matthew Williams of KS, and Madison Cox (Josh) of KS, Elise WIlliams of GA and Heather Stanley (Jesse) of SC; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Cox, Connor Cox, Austin Stanley and Landon Stanley; and Debbie Williams. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Eugene Williams, Sr.
