Alene A. Durham, 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Wallace Reid Durham, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 30, 2021. Her private funeral service will be held graveside Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Alene was born April 9, 1931 in Goldsboro, North Carolina, daughter of the late Elizabeth O. Lane. She retired from Belk's Department Store and was a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church.
Alene is survived by her daughters: Gail D. Ash (Howard) of Charleston, SC and Judy Durham of Lakeland, FL; son, Jack Durham of Goose Creek, SC; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of SC, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
