Aldie Crews, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Emory S. Crews, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 14, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 22, 2026, at the International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Aldie was born November 29, 1938 on the Frank Davis Farm near Nicholls, Georgia, daughter of the late Alvin and Delilah Taylor. She retired from Lockheed Martin April 1, 1997. She took great pride in her work and was named employee of the year in 1985. She was a long standing member of Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class, and Comfort Covers Quilting group. Most of all she was a dedicated mother, unwavering in the care of her son, Michael. Vacations always centered around spending time with the family in Georgia.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammie Crews and her husband, Ottmar Schmidt of Newfoundland, PA; her son, Michael Crews of Charleston, SC; her sister Lila Jo Anderson of Nichols, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Archie Dillard Taylor and Alton Taylor, sisters Wilma McElhaney, Litlon “Terry” Pierce, Johnice Minix, and Mary Jo Burkett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29407 or to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA 18507.
