Alan Channing Hamilton, 43, husband of Leslee Dunnigan Hamilton of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Monday, October 29, 2012. The relatives and friends of Alan Hamilton are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the graveside on Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Magnolia Cemetery at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm .

Alan was born January 28, 1969 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William Jackson Hamilton, Jr. and the late Claire Jones Hamilton. He was a President of Bradham-Hamilton Advertising, and was co-publisher of Coastal Angler Magazine - Charleston. He graduated from the University of South Carolina, was a member of the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club, the Executives Association of Greater Charleston and Coastal Carolina Boy Scouts of America where he was in charge of Friends of Scouting. Alan was a member of St. Andrews Church - Mt. Pleasant. He was an avid boater, fisherman, and Gamecock fan. Above all else, Alan was a loving husband, father and adored his children.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Alan Channing Hamilton, Jr. and a daughter, Anna C. Hamilton both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brothers, Richard Victor Hamilton of Manhattan, NY and William Jackson Hamilton, III and his wife, Julia, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and nephew, William Jackson Hamilton, IV of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
