Alan William Dempster, 86, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of Mary C. Grogan Dempster entered into eternal rest Friday, May 23, 2025. His memorial service will be held Saturday morning, June 14th in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Alan was born August 21, 1938, in Hackensack, New Jersey, son of the late William Dempster and the late Georgina Martin Dempster. He attended High School in Coral Gables, FL where he met his wife of 71 years. Shorty there after he joined the United States Navy. Proudly serving his country in the Submarine Service for 22 years, retiring as a Quartermaster Chief Petty Officer QMC (SS).

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Edward Dempster (Tammy) of Goose Creek, SC and Scott Dempster (Marie) of Chino Valley, AZ. He was blessed with many grandchildren (Matthew (Jennifer), Nicholas, Michael, Stephanie (Andrew), Elliot (Haley), Julia (Rylee) and great grandchildren (Brody, Dylan, Kyler, Emma, Brooks, Emorie and Abigail. He loved them all very much.
