Aiken Anderson "Andy" Still, III, 66, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, husband of Emily Brown, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC.
Andy was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 19, 1946, the son of Aiken Anderson Still, Jr. and Jean Fickling Still. He graduated from high school in Barnwell, SC, where he was captain of the football team. He attended Wofford College. He was married to Emily Brown on April 27, 1991. For many years Andy worked for Santee Cooper.
He is survived by his beloved wife Emily; and four children -- Kimberly Still of Orangeburg, SC; Aiken Anderson "Ike" Still, IV, his wife Kari and their son Chase of North, SC; Eliza Still and Anderson Still of Folly Beach, SC. He is also survived by two sisters -- Julianne Still Thrift of Winston-Salem, NC and Charlotte Still Noble of Lakewood, OH -- and two aunts -- Joan Still of Denmark, SC and Louise "Weesie" Fickling of Edisto Island, SC
Andy loved bluegrass music, talking on the porch with friends John and Kevin Capps, bragging about Eliza's academic achievements, watching Anderson play football, enjoying memories of Kimberly's theatrical performances, watching the great father Ike had become, being #1 Pop Pop to Chase, and taking daily walks on Folly Beach with the love of his life, Emily.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 in James Island Presbyterian Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive guests afterwards at a reception in the Fellowship Hall. The casket will be open in the sanctuary one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J.
