Agnes Stevens Ingersoll, 84, of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, wife of Robert Ingersoll entered into eternal rest Monday, January 18, 2016. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the Church of Our Saviour, 4416 Betsy Kerrison Parkway at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston.
Agnes was born January 8, 1932 in Flint, Michigan, daughter of the late Charles A. Stevens and Regina Ruehs Stevens. She was a dedicated School Teacher for over 35 years, she loved teaching and helping children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Agnes was a member of the Church of Our Savior where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Ingersoll of Kiawah Island, SC; daughter, Leigh Lassiter of Carthage, NC; three sons, Thomas Charles Ingersoll of Kiawah Island, SC, Timothy Thair Ingersoll of Conway, SC, and Matthew Robert Ingersoll of Tampa, FL; sister, Wynne Wood of Grand Blanc, MI, four grandchildren.
