Agnes Lanyi Heltai, widow of Professor George Heltai, passed away on the morning of August 16, 2010.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  All services will be private.

Mrs. Heltai was born April 20, 1920, in Budapest Hungary, the daughter of Victor Lanyi and Erzsebet Fodor Lanyi.  She retired as a Book Conservator with the Waring Historic Library at The Medical University of South Carolina.

She is survived by one daughter: Sophie Heltai of Charleston, SC; two sons: Martin G. Heltai of Portland, Oregon and Blaise L. Heltai of Boston, Massachusetts; and two grandchildren.
