Agnes Patricia Meola Guzzardo

Agnes Patricia Meola Guzzardo, 86, of Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, wife of Anthony Guzzardo passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.

Agnes was born January 22, 1928 in Queens, New York, daughter of the late Leopold and Jennie Davino Meola . A retired banker and director of adult family care centers, she was deeply devoted to her family. Agnes was a faithful parishoner at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, where she volunteered her talents in repairing and painting the various statues and Stations of the Cross. In her spare time, she loved to read, cook, and garden. A gifted painter, Agnes loved the beach, and especially the precious time she had with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Guzzardo; her daughter, Mary Sykes and her husband, Dave of Isle Of Palms, SC; her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Linda of Bayshore, NY. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Anthony Guzzardo
