Adrienne Kim Childs Seay (Kim), born February 27, 1986, in Decatur, Alabama, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Ladson, South Carolina.
Kim was the beloved mother of Elijah Seay and a devoted daughter to Adrienne Johnson Otto (GA) and the late John Childs. She is also survived by her stepmother Susan Childs (SC), brother David and Kaeley Childs (SC), stepsister Rachel Chigges and her husband Nick Chigges (SC); her grandmothers Dorothy Jaggars Childs (TN) and Opal Phillips Johnson (TN); as well as aunts Ann Childs (TN), Tammy Hurst (TN), Cheryl Harvey (TN), and uncle Eric Johnson (TN). She was a beloved aunt to Mason, Gabriel, Olivia, Silas, Elijah, Emma, and Lucy Kate. Kim was preceded in death by her father John Childs and her brother Andrew Childs.
A graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Art History, Kim pursued a career with Charleston County while nurturing her creative spirit. She was a member of the St. Andrews Chapter D.A.R. in Darien, GA. She was an artist at heart who found joy in cross-stitching and other creative endeavors that reflected her vibrant imagination.
A service to honor Kim’s life will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 am at Seacoast Church, located at 750 Long Point Road in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Interment is scheduled to follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
