Adlyn Louise Sahlmann Heffron

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 4, 2010, Adlyn Louise "Weesie" Sahlmann Heffron, widow of Robert Camilious Heffron. Residence, Sullivan's Island, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at eleven o'clock in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.  Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday at 2313 Atlantic Avenue, Sullivan's Island, between six and eight o'clock.


Mrs. Heffron was born August 31, 1920, in Charleston, SC, the daughter of George Clarence Sahlmann and Beulah Schwartz Sahlmann. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and The College of Charleston, Class of 1941and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She retired from Heffron, Ingle, McDowell & Cooper in 1990. Mrs. Heffron was Past President of Lions Club Auxiliary and Past President of Quis Qui Ladies.


She is survived by one son: Brent F. Heffron and his wife Lindsay of Simpsonville, SC; Daughters-in Law: Ruth H. Heffron and Robin W. Heffron; seven Grandchildren: Robert C. Heffron, III "Tres", Jason M. Heffron, Brent F. Heffron, Jr. Randall G. Heffron, Jr. Walker M. Heffron, Bradley L. Heffron and Emory A. Heffron; Great-Grandchildren: four great-grandchildren: Cora Eden, Grace Heffron, Nathaniel Heffron, Lucia Heffron. She is predeceased by two sons: Robert C. "Bob" Heffron, Jr. and Dr. Randall G. "Randy" Heffron.


Memorials may be made to Robert C. and Louise S. Heffron Leadership Fund for the College of Charleston, c/o Coastal Community Foundation, 90 Mary Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
