Addison Anders Johnson, Jr. was born on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 8:43 p.m. to parents Addison and Ellen Hay Johnson.
Addison's family was blessed to spend 4 days with him, before he went to his heavenly home at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021. Addison's entire family was present to witness his baptism, resting in the loving arms of his parents, before God called him home.
In addition to his parents, Addison is survived by a devoted family, including his grandparents, Marshall and Lisa Hay, of Isle of Palms; and Kent and Karis Johnson, of Mount Pleasant; great-grandparents, Henry Muhler Hay, Jr., of Mount Pleasant; Jerry and Linda Henderson, of Greenville; and Patricia Ayrassian, of Canton, New York; aunts and uncles, Caroline and Russell Robinson, of Mount Pleasant; Connor Johnson, of Washington, D.C.; Libby Hay, of Isle of Palms; and cousins, Charlie and Hays Robinson. Addison was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Dr. Oscar Johnson, of Lake Jackson, Texas; Patricia Johnson Cummings and James Cummings, of Lake Jackson, Texas; John Ayrassian, of Canton, New York; and Mary Ann Hay, of Mount Pleasant.
The family will hold a private burial service with arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MUSC Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (givenow.musckids.org).
Addison will rest peacefully beside his great-grandmother, Mary Ann Hay.
Addison's parents wish to express their gratitude and sincere appreciation to family and friends for their outpouring of prayers and support and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at MUSC Children's Health for their professional and compassionate care.
