Ada Acklin Glover, 86, of Johns Island, SC, widow of Arthur A. "Bozo" Glover, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 5, 2020. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Glover are invited to attend her graveside funeral services Friday, October 9, 2020, in Live Oak Memorial Garden, 3093 Ashley River Rd. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 8, 2020 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414.
Mrs. Glover was born on April 29, 1934 in Charleston, S.C., daughter of the late Christopher P. Acklin Sr. and the late Winona May Weeks Acklin. Ada was a graduate of St. Johns High School and a retired Tower Operator/Dispatcher with the South Carolina Forestry Commission. She was a member of Southern Methodist Church on Johns Island.
Ada is survived by six sons, Allan Glover of Barnwell, SC, Steve Glover of Johns Island, Brooks Glover (Ramona) of Cordesville, SC, David Glover (Lisa) of Charleston, SC, Mark Glover of Johns Island, Matt Glover of Ravenel, SC; three sisters, Evelyn Glover of Norfolk, VA, Addie Pearl Wollam of Johns Island, SC, Elizabeth Ann Bowick of James Island, SC; 22 grandchildren: Trey, Slaton, Rhett, Delayne (Eddie), Bryan, Tonya (Chris), Tarra, Brooke (Nic), Ada (Billy), Jacob, Eric, Ryan, Alex, Lyndsey, Ben, Cody, Brianna, Seth, Alex, Kara, Mandy, Mathew; sixteen great-grandchildren: Sydney, Brooklyn, Lauren, Lily, Ashleigh, Austin, Zac, Seabrook, Jaxson, Ashton, Braelynn, Adam, Ethan, Drake, Cole, and Emma; two great-great-grandchildren: Camden and Caroline. She is also survived by Vickie Glover of Barnwell, SC, Cindy Grooms of Goose Creek, SC, Gina Glover of Johns Island, SC, Florence Carter of Beech Island, SC, Doris Parks of Dallas, GA and many nieces and nephews.
Ada was preceded in death by a son John Eric Glover, a brother, Christopher P. Acklin Jr., and a sister, Barbara Lindenmuth.
Flowers will be accepted and or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
