RMC Aaron Edward Misenhelter, Jr. (USN, Ret.), 75, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, husband of Rosemary Mollet Misenhelter, died Sunday, October 21, 2012. The relatives and friends of Ed Misenhelter, Jr. are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Thursday, October 25, 2012 in St. Andrews Church, 440 Whilden Street, Mt. Pleasant, at 6:00 pm. Ed was born September 14, 1937 in Leavenworth, Kansas, son of the late Aaron E. Misenhelter, Sr. and Anna Esther Hall Misenhelter. He was a graduate of Golden Gate University, Norfolk, VA, where he earned an Associate of Business degree, then attended the College of Charleston. Ed served as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, and worked with the Charleston County School District as a print shop manager for 12 years. He was an active volunteer in the community, serving with Kairos Prison Ministry and the Crisis Ministries of Charleston. Family life was very important to him and he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He also enjoyed studying family genealogy and was a member of St. Andrews Church in Mt. Pleasant.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; his son, Aaron Misenhelter, III, and his wife Laura of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his daughter, Kim Marie Liles and her husband Thomas Kelly Liles of Round O, SC; his grandson, Aaron Todd Misenhelter, of Mt. Pleasant; his granddaughters, Sarah Liles of Charleston, SC, and Caroline Liles of Round O, SC; and his sister, Janis Riley and her husband Michael of Kansas City, MO.
